Profile : Dr Dushyant Singh Gaur

Dr. Dushyant Singh Gaur has been a graduate of Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. He passed his Undergraduate Degree MBBS in 1986 and Postgraduate Degree M.D. Pathology in 1990, both in first attempt. He worked as Consultant Pathologist from September 1990 to September 1995 at Anupam Nidan Kendra, Bhopal. In November 1995, he decided to pursue an academic career and joined as Assistant Professor at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

During his 25 year long academic careers, he has been teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Medical and Paramedical courses. He has been a Thesis Guide to more than 25 postgraduate students. He has keen interest in research and has successfully completed several research projects. He has more than 50 scientific publications in various International and National journals.

During his academic career, he was promoted to the post of Associate Professor in 2001 and Professor in 2005. He has held various administrative positions like In-charge HIHT Blood bank and Coordinator HHRL.

He successfully completed his three-year tenure as Head of Pathology Department from 2009 to 2012. Since 2013, he is working as Head of Laboratory Services of Himalayan Institute Hospital, HImalayan Central Diagnostic & Research Laboratory [HCDRL] an NABL Accredited Diagnostic Centre which has eleven diagnostic labs. of Pathology, Microbiology and Biochemistry.
